Makes it worth buying an iPod Touch
If you own a Squeezebox, this app is a must-have and the best $9.99 you can spend. It makes controlling your SqueezeBox very easy, and can even handle synchronizing multiple players (I have two - works great.) There is a lot of functionality built into this application and I still run into little things that I hadnt seen before. You can do pretty much everything you can do with the web interface, but I find iPeng easier and the presentation is better. Browse music, create playlists, control player settings, see whats playing with the cover art, etc... Its pretty much all there.
Im now using v1.3.5 with SqueezeBox Server 7.6 and the app is very responsive - almost instantaneous. I upgraded both products at roughly the same time, so I dont know what did the trick, but iPeng didnt used to be this responsive before, sometimes taking several seconds before the data would be displayed on screen. Now the delay, if any, is under a second. This makes it even more enjoyable to use.
Im considering buying a tablet and may decide to go with an iPad just because theres a version for it. Its that good.
